City target Ozil as Toure replacement

Manchester City fans are feeling unsure in the Football Transfer Tavern as their manager has demanded his club to sign Arsenal’s out of sorts superstar as a replacement for Yaya Toure.

According to Metro, Manuel Pellegrini has ordered the club to go out and sign Mesut Ozil in January as the club prepare for life without their powerhouse in midfield.

It is believed the Sky Blues are linked with a fee of around £32m to sign German international and it is thought Arsenal will be willing to cash in on their out of form player.

But punters in the Tavern think that a switch to the Etihad would be perfect for Ozil, who has been in the spotlight of many critics recently.

Because City’s strong squad has a lot more depth than Arsenal’s, in the midfield department, meaning the 26-year-old would solely be used as an attacking/creative midfielder.

Whilst at Arsenal he is demanded to track back, make more tackles and have more defensive responsibilities, which is something that is not apart of his game and this factor has been one of the reason’s why he has not settled into Arsene Wenger’s 4-3-3 system.

And Pellegrini will hope to do business as soon as possible with the Ivorian star looking to leave soon after off the field issues and a dip in form
